George Jones built Gundlach into a thriving, growing Richmond plumbing and heating business and spent decades providing outstanding services to thousands of customers.

Thanks to his commitment to high levels of customer service and doing "the right thing", George steadily grew his business based on strong community and personal relationships, planting roots throughout the Greater Richmond area.

Gundlach is a founding member of the Plumbing and Mechanical Professionals of Virginia, which lobbies the Virginia General Assembly for laws that affect the industry. George was actively involved in writing plumbing codes for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

George passed away in October 2011, and it was a tremendous loss to his family, his business, and the community. But his ability to see into the future and create a Richmond plumbing and heating business that would thrive long beyond his years was just one more testament to his fortitude and commitment. Over the years, George instilled the same sense of pride in the business into his three daughters who are now owners of Gundlach.

Linda Stevens, Betty Gregory, and Lorrie Gore worked closely with their father over the years as they learned how to do business the right way. As his health deterred him from doing everything he wanted to do, George provided direction, insights, and mentoring to his daughters and never lost sight of his mission to help people. He made sure they knew how to run a successful business and he gave them the skills and ability to continue growing the business. George continued to reinforce the importance of stellar customer service as the #1 responsibility of every single employee.

Not only do these three women have the skills and ability to carry-on their father's legacy, but they have the same drive, ambition, and passion for the business that their father had. Their love for their father is endearing and seeing them carry on the family business is a tribute to their shared commitment to George and every customer they serve.
