In the Garden State, Public Service Enterprise Group's (PSEG) diversified business model has it smelling like a rose. Regulated subsidiary Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) transmits and distributes electricity to 2.2 million customers and natural gas to 1.8 million customers in New Jersey. Nonregulated subsidiary PSEG Power operates PSEG's generating plants. PSEG Power's 11,678-MW generating capacity comes mostly from nuclear and fossil-fueled plants in the US Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The company's total generating output in 2015 was 55,000 GWh. Other operations (under PSEG Energy Holdings) include energy infrastructure investments, solar, and other renewable plant development.
